Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, Rah Rah has new safety guidelines in place for its shows to make sure that all our audiences remain safe. This Christmas we are offering a 3-tiered approach to our entertainment; which means you can pick the type of entertainment you think would work best and be safest for your centre, and you will also have the freedom to change to another option at a later date, if needs be/things change. Our new safety guidelines include regular testing for all of our actors, as well as a guarantee to keep to a minimum of 2m distance from our audiences.
Please see our exciting Christmas entertainment options below:
Option 1: Our ‘tried and tested’ pantomime ‘Dick Whittington’, which has been loved by our audiences for over 20 years. It is a traditional pantomime with songs and dancing, guaranteed to have audiences laughing, singing and possibly even dancing!
Option 2: A roving Christmas show / pantomime called ‘12 days of Christmas’: a shorter show, which we would perform in several different locations within your centre. This will enable us to perform to the same number of people we would usually perform to but keeping it safe, by allowing them to watch in different areas. This way, it will be easier to maintain social distancing and will ensure that no one has to miss out on the show!
Option 3: The third option is a collection of ‘feel good’ Christmas songs performed by our ‘Christmas Carollers’in outside locations, such as: care home car parks, gardens, courtyards or on people’s doorsteps(this option would be ideal for centres that might be remaining closed this Christmas but still want to provide a special treat for their service users who are isolated within the community). A version of this was piloted earlier this year in Hammersmith and Fulham, with Dementia Alliance and due to its huge success, another 10 dates are being planned.
The cast will comprise of three professionally trained actors who have a wealth of experience performing in the community.
Rah Rah Theatre Company has been running for 20 years. So far, the company has produced and toured 50 highly successful shows to over 1000 different venues. We pride ourselves in writing and producing our own original material. All our productions are interactive and aim to encourage audiences to join in as much as possible, so as to create a memorable experience. We believe this to be why venues invite us back time and time again.
